Culverts

If you need water to move from one side of a road or driveway to another a culvert might be perfect for you. A culvert is a fully enclosed tunnel under driveways,  roads, or between ditches separated by soil. These structures can be made from concrete, metal,  and even plastic depending on the needs and budget of the client.

There are many designs for culverts, but the most commonly used is a box culvert. This type of culvert is made from concrete or reinforced concrete. Box culverts are used very heavily in commercial construction, due to the variations in size available. They can also be found in residential areas between small drainage ditches to help water to flow to a collective drainage point. This helps to prevent erosion and wash out near road and driveways, which can become unstabble if action is not taken.
